Tracy’s Top 10 of 2007
10. Melissa moved back from California in February. She has had her share of ups and downs but has learned many lessons. We are grateful for her courage and love her so much.
9. Elle suffered a head injury in February and was taken by Life Flight to Primary Children’s Hospital. A Priesthood blessing reassured us that she would fully recover. We were blessed to bring her home five days later. A very scary journey of six months began, making sure that our active little girl didn’t bump her head. Just two weeks later, we found ourselves back in the Emergency room with 18 stitches under her chin. Our visit to her Neurologist in July confirmed the result of her blessing.
8. Blake returned home from his mission in Jacksonville Florida on April 4th. Trudy was positive that watching him coming down the airport escalator was better than birth. This was a wonderful highlight for our entire family.
7. We continue to enjoy all the benefits of Trudy’s mom just minutes away. We sure miss our dad but are forever grateful for our sweet memories of him.
6. Lex and Trudy were called as Ma and Pa on their pioneer trek. They were humbled at the opportunity to spend time at Martins Cove, Independence Rock and Rocky Ridge, often times feeling the presence of those who sacrificed so much, even their own lives.
5. Elle started Kindergarten and begins each day with, “who can I play with?” She finds herself in the adult world of our family and we are grateful for young friends with children her age.
4. Landon graduated from Alta High School in the spring. He and Blake attended the Salt Lake Community College for one semester. Landon received his mission call to Brazil Sao Paulo East and leaves for the MTC there on April 8th. (His farewell be one month prior on March 9th at 2:10 p.m.)
3. Blake .met, taught, converted, baptized and confirmed Emily Sharpe while serving in Brunswick Georgia. Subsequently in his words, he decided to “seal the deal” in the Salt Lake Temple on December 28th. We feel so blessed to have a beautiful new daughter in law in our family. They will make their home in Colorado Springs. Emily is a Special Agent in the Air Force. Blake will be playing basket ball at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
2. Lex’s mom continues to suffer from Alzheimer’s. She just recently fell and broke her hip. We pray for her peace and comfort. It has been very difficult to watch her suffer.
1. We enjoyed having all of our children home with us one last time. New paths begin while memories of old will always remain in our hearts.
Thank you for your continued friendship, love and support!
